Split the text into checkable claims
An AI-generated itinerary can help organise ideas, but fluent writing does not establish the accuracy of its details. Break the plan into places, dates, opening arrangements, transport stages, costs and assumptions about your preferences. Mark each as an idea, a claim requiring verification or information already confirmed. Open and inspect any source link supplied by the AI; the existence of a citation is not evidence by itself. Keep your own purpose visible too. A detailed plan is still unsuitable if it follows a daily routine you do not actually want, even when some individual details happen to be correct.
Check the dependencies first
Prioritise elements on which the rest of the plan depends. These could include the arrival location, a fixed admission or a connection required for the journey home. Verify changing operational information through the provider's or site's current primary source, paying attention to dates. Assess transport stages together, not only individually: does the itinerary allow for the actual transition between successive events? Do not fill gaps automatically with optimistic estimates. If a foundational assumption cannot be established, stop developing the part that relies on it and seek a simpler or better-documented alternative before adding more detail to the itinerary.
Produce a more modest, traceable final plan
Imagine an AI suggesting several distant places in one day, each with a confident timetable. After checking, you might keep one main activity and a nearby flexible addition, saving the rest as future ideas. The final version should show when and where important details were checked and where uncertainty remains. AI can help organise or rewrite information, but that does not replace missing evidence. A score calculated from your own entries does not authenticate those entries either. The useful outcome may contain fewer claims, provided they fit together, important conditions are established and the journey genuinely fits your available time, allowance and preferences. Traceable limits are more valuable than a comprehensive-looking schedule whose critical assumptions remain untested.
